All Weekend
St. Clare Mardi Gras
St. Clare Catholic School| Fri & Sat 12-11PM, Sun 1-8PM | Free| Details
Why you should go: This school carnival/festival is anything but small time (check out those rides) but with free admission and ride prices that are definitely cheaper than that “other” fair happening nearby, it might be just the right amount of fun.
South Florida Fair
South Florida Fairgrounds|Mon-Fri 12-10PM, Sat/Sun 10AM-10PM | $8-$20*| Details
Why you should go: If you are craving this atmosphere then no one else can replicate it. The food, the rides, the music. It’s only once a year so why not?
*Lots of coupons are out there for this event so try not to pay full-price. 🙂
Friday, January 18
76. Mostly Sunny. 10% chance of rain.
Riot in the Rainforest Story Time
Gardens Branch Library | 3:15-4PM | Free| Details
Why you should go: Ms. Dez is the host and this special story time includes lessons about integrity, obedience, and asking permission. Do they offer this for adults?
Friday Night Live!
Downtown at the Gardens | 6-9PM | Free| Details
Why you should go: 33 Years is this week’s band. They are based out of South Florida and according to their website similar in style to Shovels and Rope. If you know who that is, you will probably enjoy this free show.
Hot tip: Bring a couple extra bucks for the carousel because littles will ask and if you let them ride, you’re buying yourself more time to enjoy the show.
January Live Music Series
CityPlace| 7:30-10:30PM | Free| Details
Why you should go: Free, live music in a family-friendly atmosphere in West Palm Beach. This is where it’s at! Grab some soap at Anthropologie while you’re there.
Saturday, January 19
79. Partly Cloudy. 10% chance of rain.
Family Adventure Days
Jupiter Lighthouse | 10AM-Noon |$10 adults, kids are free| Details

Heros vs. Hotshots
Roger Dean Stadium| 3-8PM| Free | Details
Why you should go: It’s a celebrity kickball game at Roger Dean Stadium! If you need more, there will be bounce houses, games, food, adult beverages (#win) and more. Watching the game is free, a wristband is required for other activities but it all goes to a great local charity and how cool is that?
Movies in Constitution Park
Tequesta | 4:30-9PM| Free for residents, $5 | Details
Why you should go: #1 You’re a huge fan of Despicable Me 3. #2 You really love letting the kids run wild while you chill outside with your friends under the guise of “movie” watching.
MindQuest 1st Birthday Party
MindQuest Jupiter | 5-9PM |Free| Details
Why you should go: You’ve got a tween or teen (or husband) who loves escape rooms. MindQuest invites the public to join them as they celebrate one year and there will be a DJ, hourly raffles, giveaways and more!
Sunday, January 20
75. Rain/Wind. 60% chance of rain.
Gardens GreenMarket
PBG Municipal Complex| 8AM-1PM | Free | Details
Why you should go: You love fresh fruit, veggies, and bread. Those fresh tunes (live) don’t hurt either. You like pretending you’re Belle and greeting all the townspeople.
Jupiter Farmer’s Market
El Sol | 9AM-1:30PM | Free | Details
Why you should go: Smaller scale than West Palm or Gardens market but it’s right around the corner, parking is a cinch, and you can say “Hi” to your neighbors and feel like a real member of the community while supporting area farmers.
Pretty Princess and the Magic Crystal Story Time
Legacy Barnes & Noble | 2-3PM | Free | Details
Why you should go: The weather is looking iffy. This is an indoor activity that the kids will enjoy and you can grab some coffee and maybe the latest selection for that book club you should be attending while you’re there.
