What to do this weekend in Jupiter and beyond including a food truck pow wow, live music, model yacht racing, and more

Looking for family fun near our little slice of paradise known as Jupiter? Check out this list of going ons I found while perusing the interwebs this week. Hope you find it helpful. Want more? Join our Facebook Group for the inside scoop before anyone else gets it and check out our full calendar. This is just the tip of the iceberg.

Friday, January 4

84. Partly Cloudy. 10% chance of rain.

Food Truck Pow Wow

Tequesta | 5-9PM | Free| Details

Why you should go: You like food trucks. You don’t love super large crowds. You ADORE Constitution Park (who doesn’t?).

January Live Music Series

CityPlace| 7:30-10:30PM | Free| Details

Why you should go: Craving live music? Need/want it to be free and family-friendly? This is kind of it in our area for the next few weeks. Enjoy.

Saturday, January 5

75. AM Clouds/PM Sun. 0% chance of rain.

Home Depot Kids’ Workshop

Home Depot | 9AM-Noon| Free | Details

Why you should go: You need to go to HD on Saturday morning anyway. Your little one has been dying to make a whiteboard with easel. You like encouraging them to make stuff (especially free stuff) with their hands.

Bones, Skulls, and Skins!

Jonathan Dickinson State Park | 10-11:30AM| Free|  Details

Why you should go: The right kind of kid will LOVE this. Bones! Skulls! Skins! Sounds super cool to us.

Manatee Tales Story Time

Manatee Lagoon | 10-10:30AM |Free| Details

Why you should go: You have a 2-5 year old who would enjoy this story about Albert, the Confused Manatee, and then coloring or crafting reenforcing the story’s theme. Also, manatees are adorable and the lagoon has a pretty cool museum to check out before and/or after.

Sunday, January 6

76. Sunny. 10% chance of rain.

Gardens GreenMarket

PBG City Hall | 8AM-1PM | Free | Details

Why you should go: You love fresh fruit, veggies, and bread. Those fresh tunes (live) don’t hurt either and the weather is gorgeous!

Jupiter Farmer’s Market

El Sol | 9AM-1:30PM | Free | Details

Why you should go: Smaller scale than West Palm or Gardens market but it’s right around the corner, parking is a cinch, and you can say “Hi” to your neighbors and feel like a real member of the community while supporting area farmers.

Model Yacht Racing

Lake Catherine | 9:30AM-2PM | Free | Details

Why you should go: There’s a kid (or kid at heart) in your family who would think this was pretty cool. BONUS: you get to meet other people who think this is pretty cool. Then, you can check off #MakeNewBFF from your 2019 resolution list 🙂
