The Breakdown

Cinépolis is getting in the game when it comes to offering cheap kids’ movies this summer. If you’re not keen on taking advantage of Cobb’s free offerings, for one reason or another, this could be a good option, but keep reading because there are a few differences.

Running June 12 through August 14, each Tuesday at 10am they will be showing a popular kids flick. The cost will be $3 per person. There will be concession specials offered although at the time of publication, the Jupiter theatre could not confirm what they would be, so if you go be sure to ask.

Benefits over Free?

So, if you know Cobb is offering something for free (and most of the movies listed below are duplicates of what Cobb is doing) then why pay $3 a person? Good question. The answer really depends on you. At Cobb they run several theaters, and in my experience they do try to separate the smaller family groups from the camps, but there is always a possibility you’ll end up viewing your movie with a large group of rowdy kids. This might not matter to you but then again, it might.

So, if you know Cobb is offering something for free… then why pay $3 a person?

There is also a small possibility they will “sell out” of the free tickets at Cobb and since you can’t reserve in advance you may get there and be out of luck. I have never had that happen, but I’ve also always been there well before the movie starts (usually around 9:45AM). If you want to ensure you and yours have a spot, you can purchase the Cinépolis tickets in advance online.*

Finally, Cinépolis is in Jupiter and Cobb is in Palm Beach Gardens. Depending on where you are coming from, it might be much easier to get to the Jupiter theater and worth it to you not to hassle with the drive and parking.
