Summer Crush Vineyard and Winery is located approximately 40 miles north of Jupiter, FL, and makes for a perfect daytime excursion! In a little less than 1 hour, you will find yourself at the Vineyard in Ft. Pierce, FL, which boasts a Wine Tasting Room, outdoor live music (depending on the day), food, and plenty of outdoor seating. The Vineyard also does tours, but they have been temporarily halted. We love Summer Crush because they actually infuse their grapes with juice for a sweet, fresh, crisp taste, unique to the Vineyard – there is no doubt that the Wine Tasting Room is the highlight of the trip (there is a small charge for the Tasting, which takes approximately 30 minutes and there is lots of yummy wine for sale). If you end up visiting this hidden gem, it may be good to eat beforehand, as they do not allow outside food/drinks on premises. There is also a cute gift shop with lots of local trinkets so if you need a unique gift, you will likely find it here. You can also purchase wine by the bottle to enjoy a sip of Summer Crush after you leave. PRO TRIP: The Tasting Room is best enjoyed by adults only so this excursion may be best for adults or older children (if you have a designated driver to watch them while you are enjoying the wine sampling).
