Sue’s Tech Kitchen Arrives at Palm Beach Gardens July 20-22
I’ll be the first to admit that when I originally saw a Facebook ad for a sneak peek of Sue’s Tech Kitchen coming to Palm Beach Gardens, I was intrigued. I had never heard of Randi Zuckerburg and I wasn’t sure what a “STEM-fueled adventure for the mouth and mind” would entail, but I figured that my 10 year old might like it. I also knew I could drag the little one (and dad) along to almost anything. Then I saw that tickets were $20 per person and decided that was a bit steep for all four of us when I wasn’t even sure what I was signing us up to do.
Discounts to the Rescue
Lucky for me (and other frugally minded moms) ticket prices for this upcoming event were recently reduced to a much more manageable $8 per person. According to the Tech Kitchen website, ShopCore Properties is to thank for their generous support in underwriting the cost which is awesome and makes me a lot more amenable to a full-family visit. The only question now is figuring out exactly what it is we’re going to experience.
Family Dining for the Digital Age
STEM has been a hot educational acronym for a while now but what exactly does it have to do with food? Apparently, Sue’s been cooking up the answer in her laboratory/kitchen and is now ready to show the world. Visitors will enjoy several hands-on, interactive exhibits including 3D-printed S’mores, edible chemistry experiments, and candy-dropping drones just to name a few.
To experience this tech kitchen, you’ll need to purchase tickets in advance (see link below) and reserve your time slot. Plan to arrive during that time but feel free to hang around as long as you like. This exhibit is open this weekend only from Friday at 9AM – Sunday at 7PM. We’ll see you there!
When: Friday July 20 – Sunday July 22
Where: Downtown at the Gardens (below Cobb Theatre next to Downtown Hot Yoga)
Cost: $8 ages 2+
