Have you tried Brightline yet? You’ve almost definitely heard about it by now. The privately owned passenger service express trains run from West Palm to Miami with a stop in Ft. Lauderdale and there are plans to expand service up to Orlando by 2022.
We tried it out last spring and LOVED it. You can watch the short video we made of our trip from West Palm to Ft. Lauderdale below and then check out our full review here.

One of our favorite things about taking the train is that everyone (including parents) can enjoy the ride and no one gets stressed about traffic. You can even nap if you want! So when we heard about Brightline’s summer promotion (kids 13 and under ride free from June 1 – September 30) we knew exactly how we were going to spend our summer. Exploring South Florida fun including all the museums, wildlife parks, family-friendly beaches and more without any of the commuting hassle.
We look forward to seeing you on the next train!
