Lion Country Safari is one of the first “local” things we did after moving to Florida. We visited Orlando a few times first, of course, but when we started looking for family fun that was closer, this drive-thru zoo came on our radar.

We had a blast (separate post coming soon) and my youngest loved the giraffes most of all. So clearly we were excited to hear about the safari’s newest member and are definitely planning a return trip soon.

Kimberlina is a female giraffe born on February 4th, 2018, and named after two members of the safari’s wildlife team. According to LCS, Kimberlina will be spending some time in their maternity pen with her mom, Willow, before joining the rest of the heard. So if you definitely want to see her, I’d call first and plan for a visit later this spring.
